The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), 106 years old and one of India’s most dynamic regional chambers, had its stakeholders meet today at the Federation office in Red Hill, Hyderabad.
Companies and individuals who instituted / sponsored awards, past presidents and other stakeholders attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion Anil Agarwal said the awards instituted in 1974 are being presented uninterruptedly for the past 49 years (except during the pandemic). The awards promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, he said.
Awards are most sought after and presented to entrepreneurs for their work done in Telangana. Until last year we had 22 categories, this year we have added the Startups category, he said.
The jury is headed by Sri Mr. Arun Luharuka, FTCCI Excellence Awards Committee Chairman. Speaking on the occasion he said according to a survey the average lifespan of a company is 12 years but, FTCCI has survived for so long. These awards distinguish the recipients from the rest of the others. We are an apex trade body, and have more credibility and urged entrepreneurs and companies to apply for the awards. The awards will be presented in a special function to be held at HICC on July 3rd, 2023, he said.
Many industry representatives who initiated awards spoke on the occasion. The awards program is supported by SBI, DIL, Sudhakar Pipes, Harihom Pipes and Steel, PMJ Silver and others.
Mr. Narendra Surana, Past President of FTCCI suggested instituting an award for Excellence in Artificial Intelligence as a new category because he said, it will be the future driving force of many industries. And the next set of new billionaires will from this domain, he said and came forward to sponsor the same if it is instituted. He also suggested partnering this awards program with the Government of Telangana.
Some of the areas where awards will be given are Exports, Marketing, Innovation, R & D Technology, Information Technology, Employee Welfare, Aerospace and Defence, New Renewable Energy, Tourism Promotion, Chamber / Association, Individuals – Scientist/Engineer, Woman Entrepreneur, Differently Abled Person and Social Welfare initiatives for Women Empowerment, shared Mr. Arun Luharuka Chairman, FTCCI Excellence Awards Committee
