PV Sindhu gave prizes to the winners of FLO Badminton Tournament Members of city’s elite organisation, FLO(FICCI Ladies Organisation) tried their hands with rackets at Suchitra Badminton Academy, a world-class Badminton Academy.
In a brief and informal function held on Saturday late evening PV Sindhu gave away prizes to the winners in the five-day held at Suchitra Badminton Academy as part FLO’s Health and Fitness Drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindhu asked the audience to always focus on their health and how playing a sport is the most apt channel for the same. Sports play a very important role in maintaining a strong immune system, she added.
50 FLO members comprised entrepreneurs, professionals, achievers formed into four teams and played matches for four days. Most of them were first time players. But they

The finals were held on Saturday till late evening at Suchitra Academy where Ms PV Sindhu was the chief guest for the prize giving ceremony, informed Ms Shubhraa Maheshwari, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad in a press note issued in the city today.

Unlike many racquet sports, badminton uses feathered shuttlecocks. Badminton is a non-contact sport, making it a lot safer than most contact sports. And can be played indoors. It is a swift game and a lot of calories can be burnt. That is why we chose this sport for Health and Fitness Drive.
