International Day of Happiness

In 2011, Jayme Illien proposed the idea of the International Day of Happiness at the United Nations General Assembly. He wanted the United Nations General Assembly to promote Happiness economics around the world by improving the economic development of all countries.


International Day of Happiness is a United Nations designated day "to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world." According to the World Happiness Report published by the UN last year, Helsinki - the capital of Finland is the happiest city in the world.



Build Back Happier” is the theme for 2022, and is aimed at achieving global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.


Don't forget to count the good things, which gives you the reasons to be happy, on today's special day.
