TiE Grad 2023–24, a worldwide entrepreneurship program designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mind

TiE Hyderabad launched TiE Grad Plus, an ambitious worldwide entrepreneurship program designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire innovative business ideas among students. In one word, it is a 'business ideas tournament'.


It was launched here in the city in a program held on Saturday late evening at The Botanica in Gachibowli. It was launched by Prof D. Ravinder, Vice–Chancellor, Osmania University and Dr. D. Vijay Kumar, Director, Osmania Foundation


The program aims to reach 50 colleges, and 3 lakh students. It expects to generate 800 business plans or ideas. The prize money is US $ 15,000/-


Beginning in September, with many activities along the way, the program will conclude in March 2024 with a finale, which is considered as a "Business Ideas Tournament".


Among many highlights of this year-long program is Biz Hack Boot Camp which is likely to be conducted in Jan and February 2024. It will be an inter-college round to shortlist the final teams. It is an immersive 4-day journey igniting campus entrepreneurship. It will bring learning and real-world challenges. It is expected to empower higher education institutions with a revolutionary approach.


Mr Murali Bukkapatnam, Trustee, of TiE Global and TiE Grad Committee was also present at the launch. Mr Murali said we will engage the target group through a multitude of engaging competitions and workshops and empower and nurture aspiring entrepreneurs. This initiative, led by entrepreneurs themselves, serves as a guiding light for students, he added.


Prof. D. Ravinder spoke about the role of higher education institutions and regulatory bodies like UGC and the essence of skill development in fostering the aspirations of young entrepreneurs. Osmanians are found everywhere. The University is also fostering entrepreneurship on par with the best of the best in the ecosystem.

15 Partner Institutions have exchanged their MoUs with the TiE Hyderabad Chapter for TiE Grad Plus this year.


Rashida Adenwala, President, Srini Chandupatla, Vice President, TiE Hyderabad Chapter and Bhanu Prakash Varla, Program Chair of the TiE Grad, many notable colleges, members of TiE, and key players in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the city participated in the launch.
